Emerson Pratt

Emerson Pratt is a passionate leader in educational technology and AV innovation, currently Head of IT Support Services at the University of Otago and Vice President of the AETM which plays a leading role supporting education audiovisual technology throughout Oceania. With over two decades of experience, Emerson has led transformational change in AV services, digital learning environments, and hybrid teaching across the tertiary sector. Known for championing user-driven design and inclusive access, he brings a strong pedagogical foundation to his work. Emerson is widely recognised for fostering a culture of innovation—developing future-focused solutions that not only enhance teaching and learning, but actively reimagine what’s possible in the modern educational space. As a neurodiverse professional, he is particularly passionate about using technology to empower all learners.
