Kate Kelly

Kate is the Industry Development Manager at the Victorian Association of Performing Arts Centres (VAPAC). VAPAC is the peak body supporting a network for performing arts venues across Victoria and Tasmania. They provide support through advocacy, professional development programs and drive touring opportunities via the delivery of their annual performing arts market, Showcase Victoria. In this role Kate works closely with VAPAC’s members to strengthen the sector into the future, with a focus on their Industry Development Initiative to address the current shortages in technical staff in venues. Her role strengthens connections into the education sector at a secondary and tertiary level, as well as advocacy work with key government stakeholders.
Kate is also passionate theatre practitioner, both working in and designing spaces and systems that can facilitate the ever-changing technical demands of modern production.
